ZTP20Z High Fatigue Resistance

Fatigue resistance is one of the biggest issues of parts in additive manufacturing. In classical Ti6Al4V alloy, parts are usually subjected to HIP post treatment in order to increase their life span. To solve this problem, Z3DLAB designed a new powder called ZTP20Z. The melting process via PBF was developed specifically for this material to increase its life span and have a fatigue ratio of about 0.7 which is much higher than Ti6Al4V. A short video here shows the preliminary results of a simple hand test on ZTP20Z geometry parts (Sound is recommended)
